Whether the architect draws his building with pen and paper at the drafting table, using his keyboard and CAD screen, or with a chalk on the blackboard, these are nothing but tools he uses. Did the advent of the paint-spray in cans lead to the downfall of painters? Edit: "art and not a science" ??? Certainly, it is art when you see the forms of the Opera House, but I think Le Corbusier had to know a fair bit of "science" to make it "sound" as it does, as well as to keep it standing the way it stands! Architecture is one of the highest degrees in material engineering... and not for scholars! Not at all: you are confusing the tools with the master!
